THE STORY OF THE PAINTING
Coming up with titles for paintings can be quite a puzzle. The easiest option would be to number them — but that would deprive viewers of an entire layer of meaning.
This abstract piece simply reminds me of the scent of cypress, cedar, or juniper. Woody tones that bring a meditative mood.
And a nap?
Well, that’s always a good idea.
PAINTING DESCRIPTION
This work is composed of a single layer of oil paint. In some areas, the raw canvas peeks through — it has been primed with a transparent ground to protect it from the oil, while maintaining its natural look.
The piece is varnished. It can be hung either vertically or horizontally, depending on your preference.
